Our Team

Mike Johnson - Principal

Mr. Johnson, who founded Lake Creek Industrial in September 2018, has over 17 years of commercial real estate acquisition and development experience. During his career he has led more than 60 transactions in the acquisition or development of over 18 million SF and over 200 acres of industrial properties, respectively.


Mr. Johnson graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S.B.A. in finance and accounting.

Bob Kubichek - Senior Vice President

Mr. Kubichek has more than 20 years of construction and development experience.  He is responsible for all of LCI's pre and post-entitlement development activities as well as all vertical project management.  Immediately prior to joining LCI, Mr. Kubichek served as Director of Development and Construction for LBA Realty, a multi-billion fund operator based in Irvine, CA where he led the development and construction of 14 industrial properties totaling more than 3.3 million SF as well as nine rehab projects of office and industrial properties with rehab budgets totaling over $133 million.


Mr. Kubichek graduated from the University of California - Berkeley with a B.A.

Jake Swan - Director

Mr. Swan has more the 12 years of commercial real estate experience specializing in acquisitions and asset management. Prior to joining LCI in July 2021, Mr. Swan led LBA Realty's industrial acquisition efforts in Southern California. During his tenure at LBA, he headed the acquisition of 15 industrial properties totaling over 1.5 million SF and assisted on the acquisition of another 15 million square feet.


Mr. Swan graduated cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Business Administration concentrating in Accounting and Finance.

Mike Tonkonogy - Manager

Mr. Tonkonogy is responsible for LCI’s due diligence, risk management, and contract coordination functions. Prior to joining LCI in January 2022, he spent the previous five years at Seyfarth Shaw LLP assisting institutional commercial real estate clients in a similar role. 


Mr. Tonkonogy graduated from the University of California – Berkeley with a B.A.

Jen Awad - Associate

Mrs. Awad is responsible for LCI's accounts payable, vendor and file management, and general administration functions. She joined LCI in August 2021.


Mrs. Awad graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in business administration; and received her master's degree education from Pepperdine University. 

Melinda Muldaur - Manager-Emeritus

Mrs. Muldaur was responsible for LCI's risk management, due diligence, and project and contract coordination functions.  She retired in September 2021 after helping LCI put on its big boy and girl pants by setting up multiple process and risk management systems and procedures. Her efforts helped set up LCI for the long run and for that LCI will always consider her a part of the team. Happy retirement Melinda!


Mrs. Muldaur graduated from California State University - Fullerton with a B.A. in business administration and marketing.
